Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) is better known under her professional title Ari Lennox is an American artist and singer hailing who hails from Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be affiliated with J. Cole's label Dreamville Records. In October 21st, 2016 she debuted Pho, her debut EP under the label Dreamville Records. It was at this point that she gained her first notoriety. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album, debuted on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading her music on the internet in 2012 as she released her debut mixtape, Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography in 2013. In 2014, she continued to release her music on the internet, including her self release single Bound. The 21st day of July, 2015. Omen included her in Elephant Eyes song"Sweat it Out.. J. Cole had her submit her tracks to the Dreamville Team in the following year as he wanted Rihanna to collaborate with her on some references. It was announced on December 8 she signed with Dreamville Records. Backseat is a song that was written by her and Cozz to record the collaboration album Revenge of the Dreamers II. She released Pho, her debut EP, on October 21, 2016. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's song Change and also performed as the opener on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in the year 2017. The year 2018 saw Ari Lennox appeared on two tracks by EarthGang On Nothing but the Best, as well as Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox dropped her first track Whipped Cream on Shea Butter Baby on July 16. The music video was released, followed by a music video September. In November, she released her singles 40 Shades of Choke & Grampa. Then, on November 13 the singer released two new singles titled One and Pdigree. One or Pdigree. Shea Butter Baby was released as her first single on February 26, 2019 for the album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby appeared with Cole as part of her Creed II sound track on November 16. In February of 2019 a music video was released to promote the song. It already has more than three million views on YouTube within its first week. She supported the 6LACK's From East Atlanta With Love Tour at the end of December 2018.
